What was your first job
(not necessarily in radio)?
Soda jerk at Cone Corners in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. (How's that for cheesy?)
If you could trade places with anyone, who would
it be?
Easy. Trudy Styler and I can explain why in three words....she's Sting's
wife.
Where is your favorite hangout in the Harrisburg
area?
Appalachian Brewing Company. Great food, occasional cool bands, FULL SIZE
pool tables and Water Gap Wheat. So, ABC...or any Auntie Anne's location.
Name your most embarrassing moment:
Having an attack of dyslexia while ON THE AIR talking about Smucker's
Fudge.
What was your greatest accomplishment so far?
Turning 30, but that was a couple of years ago. Or so....what's the next
question?
Where were you when you heard the news on September
11, 2001?
On the air, trying to find words to describe the indescribable.
What is your best quality?
Either a uniquely warped, twisted, dry, disturbing sense of humor or the
ability to do a zillion stupid accents and voices. For both of these,
you can blame my parents. Heaven knows I do.
Do you have a pet peeve and if so, what is it?
People who talk and never take the time to really listen. Can I name names?
Eh, I better not.
What do you like most about being on the air?
I've had real jobs. I've tended bar and waited tables for 13 hours a day.
That is work. Being a Mom? Work. Everything else I can think of? Work.
For the most part, they pay me to talk and play music....so I like that
this isn't a real job.
Name your favorite band/singer of all time:
Sting, Barenaked Ladies, Billy Joel, 665, Lyle Lovett, Nowhere Quick,
Van Morrison, Alanis Morrisette, Capital Air, Shawn Colvin, Marvin Gaye,
Ben Folds, CoF, Toto...just tell me when to stop.....Rosemary Clooney,
U2, The Police, George and Ira Gershwin, The Eagles, The whole Fast Times
at Ridgemont High soundtrack.
Additional Information:
Every spring, I participate in the World's Largest Trivia Contest in my
hometown of Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Out of about 500 teams and 10-12,000
players, my team usually finishes in the Top 30. We've been doing this
since high school. You know, since my first spiral perm. Actually, before
that.
